Raw Banana Balls/Vazhakai Kola urundai

A Chettinad Recipe just for you!
This is an authentic chettinad dish which is often prepared at my mom's kitchen! The taste of this Kola Urundai equals Mutton Kola Urundai! This will definitely impress everyone at your home! It's simple but tasty! Do try and lemme know your comments...Happy Cooking! Cheers!

Ingredients: 


Raw Banana – 1
Red chilli -1
Pottu kadalai/ Fried Gram dal – 1 tbsp
Sombu/ Fennel– 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying 

Method: 


1.Dry roast Chutney Kadalai, Sombu, Jeera in a pan and grind it to powder in a mixie
2.In a barbeque stick insert the raw banana and show it over flame till it turns to dark brown in colour and the skin is able to be peeled with ur hand.
Or
Cut the raw banana into 4 pieces and dry roast it in a pan till it turns to dark brown in colour and the skin is able to be peeled with ur hand.

3.Now peel banana with ur hand and cut it in to small pieces and mince it in a mixie
4.Finely chop onions and in a bowl mix all the ingredients
5.Make a fine dough and divide it to equal size balls
6.Deep fry the balls till the colour changes to golden brown
