This is
basically mushrooms floating in gravy made from onion, tomato puree &
masala. To this cashew
nut powder is added to make the taste rich and final addition of milk makes it richer! This Curry goes well with hot chappati/phulka/roti. People at home / Kids at home might ask you this question "Why should
I have mushroom in my diet?" here is the answer...
Mushroom are rich in
vitamin B and D, it also provide several minerals that may be difficult to
obtain in the diet, such as selenium, potassium, copper, iron, and phosphorus. Mushrooms
decreases the risk of obesity and overall mortality, diabetes, heart disease
and promotes a healthy complexion and hair, increased energy, and overall lower
weight.
You can have mushroom for all these health benefits or just because
it’s the only stuff left in your refrigerator

Ingredients
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1 tsp
Mushroom – 200 gram
Onion – 1
Tomato – 2 medium size boiled
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala- ¼ tsp
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Milk – ¼ cup
Cashew Nuts – 6 to 8
Salt
Method
1. In a pan heat oil and put mustard and jeera when it
splutters add ginger garlic paste, fry till raw smell goes.
2. Add finely chopped onion, fry till raw smell goes.
4. Let the mushroom get cooked for 5 minutes.
5. Meanwhile remove the skin of boiled tomatoes and grind it
to paste.
6. As mushroom gets
cooked the water in it escapes. Now add the tomato puree, chilli powder,
coriander powder, garam masala, salt, turmeric powder.
Best Practice
1. Marinate the mushroom with lemon and salt for 5 to 10
mins. Wash it and then use it.This will remove the raw smell of mushroom.
